Health and Safety Documents

Implementing and maintaining your own OHS programme takes a lot of work and just as much paperwork. Keeping Health & Safety documents is an important way to keep your workplace Health and safety compliant.

Electrical Hand Drill and Portable Tools

  • Safe Operating Procedure Electrical Hand Drill and Portable Tools
A power tool is a tool that is actuated by an additional power source and mechanism other than the solely manual labour used with hand tools. The most common types of power tools use electric motors. Before using a portable power drill or rotating equipment, always inspect it for damage or disrepair. In addition, assure that the drill chuck and the rotating parts are functioning properly and as appropriate, inspect the electrical cord and plug or battery/battery pack.
  • Safe Operating Procedure Gas Cutting Operations
Oxy-fuel welding, commonly called oxyacetylene welding, oxy welding, or gas welding and oxy-fuel cutting are processes that use fuel gases and oxygen to weld and cut metals, respectively. No one should use oxy/fuel gas equipment unless they have received adequate training in the safe use of the gas cutting equipment, the precautions to be taken, the use of fire extinguishers and the means of escape, raising the fire alarm and calling the fire brigade.
  • Safe Operating Procedure Gas Cylinder Storage
A gas cylinder or tank is a pressure vessel used to store gases at above atmospheric pressure. Gasses in cylinders are often stored at very high pressures, and so their uncontrolled release can be physically dangerous. A small amount of released gas can fill a large area with a potentially explosive mixture.
  • Safe Operating Procedure Welding Operations
Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing fusion, which is distinct from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal.
